Our personal story of what Hemp Oil has done for us!

Amy & Candy 632014

This is our journey.

Candy and I have been together for 12 years now. We are married and have two boys that are grown and on their own. Candy and I both work full time jobs and we rescue dogs. We plan to purchase an RV and travel full time upon retirement. We have recently opened our own business (<Click Here> NewtonsOdyssey.com). We have something really exciting and really important to share with you! Recently, we have started using Hemp Oil. It’s made a world of difference in our lives. Even over the short month or so we’ve been using it!

We are using this blog to share our personal experience with using Hemp Oils. We will also share any informational sites and share them here for you to educate yourselves and learn what the excitement is all about.

NOTE : We are not medical professionals and are only using this post as a way to share our ” PERSONAL” experience with Hemp Oil from Aromalandwellness of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Please consult with your own physician and consider your own needs before incorporating a new substance like Hemp Oil into your daily routine!

Candy has Scoliosis, pain in her hips, knees, ankles and feet. My medical history is as thick as a Harry Potter book. My history began in my early teens and has just escalated over time. I am currently battling high blood pressure (185/135), back pain, hip pain, anxiety issues, Menopause (and all the wonderful effects that comes with it… I think I have them all). I have had 25 back surgeries and procedures (really many others too, I don’t have much more they can remove at this point)(ie.. gallbladder, hysterectomy, endometriosis… just to name a few). So as you can see we are not new to trying to manage our pain and this has been a daily struggle.

Today, I bring to you a different story, (again, this is our personal story, not speaking for anyone else). We began using C Verified Hemp Oil just about a month ago. Truly, it has changed our lives. I, like everyone else was skeptical and really had no desire to even try it. I am not one for miracle supplements or drugs, quick fixes, or too good to be true trends. Candy has done hours of reading and educating herself on this topic, but for me, well, I am the stubborn one. However, if I try something for myself and find that it works (for me) and does what it claims it is supposed to do, then I have no problem sharing my experience. I, finally, after being in so much pain, gave in and thought I would give it a try. (After all she is right most all the time and I was in so much pain I didn’t even want to breathe any longer). Needless to say, this has changed my life. It helped with my anxiety (which causes tension, headaches and overall body aches), it helped me to relax so I wasn’t in as much pain in my low back (muscles loosened up) and I sleep like a baby with a full belly. Candy works on her feet many hours walking on concrete and was always complaining of being sore and hurting (knees, feet, ankles, low and mid back). She was unable to get comfortable at night to get a good nights rest, therefore, feeling tired everyday. Well, once again, the Hemp oil has helped her too. She is able to sleep better and more comfortable and is able to be active during the day. She doesn’t come home every night complaining of aches and pains. Now, I am not saying this is a cure all or miracle oil, but what I am saying is that it can make a difference in your life when you are dealing with daily struggles of life. Everyone is different, every situation is unique in it’s own way, you have to do your research and find what is best for you.

What is Hemp Oil? Why is it suddenly trending in popularity? What are some benefits? Here is what a few internet searches reveal:

<Click Here> Truewellnessknowledge.com writes ~ During our research to determine alternative treatment options, our family learned about and implemented the healing properties of CBD, also known as cannabidiol. I want to share all of the amazing benefits of CBD that my research uncovered in this report. CBD is one of more than 80 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. While THC is the most widely known cannabinoid found in the marijuana plant, CBD is quickly becoming just as well known in the medical community. CBD comes primarily from the hemp plant which falls under the cannabis umbrella like its cousin the marijuana plant. While THC is psychoactive (causes a high) and is still illegal in most states, CBD is non-psychoactive (no high and anti-anxiety) and legal in all 50 states when derived from the hemp plant according to FDA regulations. CBD actually has a more wide variety of applications and benefits than THC and some of the other most well known cannabinoids.

<Click Here> Thehempoilbenefits.com writes ~ What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?” Cannabidiol is a natural food supplement derived from Cannabis. CBD is a substance that abounds in the cannabis plant and, in comparison with THC or tetrahydrocannabinol, it is non-psychoactive. So, if one consumes this substance, the person will not manage to get “high” due to CBD, as the substance induces relaxation without any intoxicating effects. In other words, CBD will indeed have an effect on your organism, but will not alter reality or your senses by affecting your brain. Cannabidiol or CBD is a natural chemical found in the cannabis plant. It can decrease anxiety and stress, calm down various types of pains, and can stop spasms. How can CBD help you? There are many ways they say CBD and help. This link will give you some helpful information. Thehempoilbenefits.com

<Click Here> Supplementpolice.com writes ~ Is non-addictive, non-psychotropic cannabinoids safe for human consumption? ~ The oral usage of cannabis plant that is known to be non-addictive and non-psychotropic in nature is a plant constituent cannabidiol – known as CBD –which is absolutely safe for human use. In fact, it is well tolerated by our beings and can show rather positive and beneficial results as far as our health is concerned.

The question I get asked so many time is “you don’t need a prescription for CBD Hemp Oil”? The answer is, “NO”. CBD Hemp Oil is not the same as medical marijuana. A difference between hemp and medical marijuana, is that hemp is not regulated by the medical community; therefore, you do not need a prescription to obtain it. You can buy any one of the many products you see online. Hemp oil is federally legal in 50 states and you can travel with it. If you travel outside a medical marijuana state with marijuana, you’re in a world of hurt if you are caught, even if you have your medical marijuana card or prescription. It’s important to note that Hemp CBD is different from Cannabis CBD. Hemp CBD contains no THC and is therefore completely non-psychoactive. Cannabis CBD typically has a mix of CBD and THC, which makes it psychoactive. Cannabis CBD can only be found in licensed dispensaries in states that have legalized marijuana.

After countless hours of research, we have decided to share our experience with those that my be considering giving C Verified Hemp Oil a try. We feel better overall, sleep better and are more active (due to less pain). C Verified Hemp Oil is also safe for your pets (we will address this in another blog). Do your research!!!! Know what you are buying. We can’t say what brand is best for you, that is for you to decide. As for our household and pets we choose and are grateful for Aromalandwellness of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

We wanted to share our experience with you all in hopes that if you’re struggling, you can keep it in mind as an option that may help you. There are no downsides to using it and it may be the one thing that could make a difference in your life.

Join us on this journey.

Key Elements of Health and Well-being

Key elements to a healthy life are eating a balanced diet, sleep, physical activity, meditation and prayer. In today’s fast-paced and increasingly complex world, we are turning to personalized medicine to enrich our lives. You need to create a personalized health plan that is as responsive to your current health needs as they are adaptable to your future health.

Having a balanced diet means eating a variety of foods that provide the nutrients you need to maintain your health and have energy. A balanced diet is one that contains the proper proportions of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water that are necessary to maintain overall good health.

In addition to sleep, physical activity, meditation and prayer, a well balanced diet is one of the key elements of health and well-being. Eating well is an excellent way to help your body stay strong and healthy. Food fuels our bodies and helps to provide the necessary nutrients that your body needs to create new cells, clean toxins, and to function every day! The nutrients in the foods you eat support the activities of day-to-day living, protect your cells from environmental damage and repair any cell damage that may have occurred.

Healthy body

Your body has three main types of nutrients that is required (called “macronutrients): carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Carbohydrates and fats fuel your body, protiens help build and repair tissues, while vitamins and minerals function throughout your body in support of your body’s processes.

Real food pyramid

Explained here is what they do and how they help you:

*Carbohydrates are a major macronutrient and one of your body’s primary sources of energy. Carbohydrates are made up of three components: fiber, starch, and sugar. Fiber and starch are complex carbs, while sugar is a simple carb. Simple carbohydrates are called simple sugars. Sugars are found in a variety of natural food sources. (fruit, vegetables and milk) and are broken down quickly. Complex carbohydrates also known as polysaccharides, are starches formed by longer saccharide chains, which means they take longer to break down. (starches, white bread, cakes and pastries).

simple vs complex carbs

*Protein is an important component of every cell in the body. (Eggs, peanuts, almonds, cottage cheese and yogurt). Your hair and nails are mostly made of protein. Your body uses protein to build and repair tissues. You also use protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

*Fats serve several important functions in the body. They store energy and insulate us and protect our vital organs. They act as messengers, helping proteins do their jobs. They also start chemical reactions that help control growth, immune function, reproduction and other aspects of basic metabolism.

Fats also help reserve certain nutrients and vitamins:

Fat-soluble vitamins a like vitamins A, D, E and K, are stored in the liver and fat throughout the body. Vitamin C is an important antioxidant that the body uses to keep you strong and healthy, it is used in the maintenance of bones, muscle and blood vessels and helps absorb iron. Vitamin B is a key player in maintaining cell health and helps you extract energy from the foods you eat. Calcium is used keep your bones and teeth strong, thereby supporting skeletal structure and function. The rest of the calcium in your body plays key roles in cell signaling, blood clotting, muscle contraction and nerve function. Phosphorus works with calcium to help build bones. You need the right amount of both calcium and phosphorus for bone health. Phosphorus also plays an important structural role in nucleic acids and cell membranes, it is also involved in the body’s energy production.

fat soluble foods

Nutrition is important for everyone.

You need to eat a wide variety of healthy foods, like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein, for maximum health benefits. There are many different theories about what is the best way to eat. This includes paleo, vegan, gluten free, sugar free, and raw just to name a few. Eating foods that have been as minimally processed as possible is central to our health. This means consuming real food from nature as opposed to pre-packaged foods that were made in a factory. If mother nature makes it… it is good for you and will have benefits for your body.

healthy food diet.jpg

Fresh fruits and vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet, and variety is as important as quantity. No single fruit or vegetable provides all of the nutrients you need to be healthy. Eat plenty everyday! Eat a variety of types and colors of produce in order to give your body the mix of nutrients it needs. A diet rich in vegetables and fruits can lower blood pressure, reduce risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower risk of digestive problems, and have a positive effect upon blood sugar which can help keep your appetite in check.

CBD Is Safe For You and Your Companions

benefits cbd-oil-for-dogs

There is growing interest in using CBD oil for your companions as a natural home remedy for a variety of ailments. NONA’s C-verified oil is non-psychoactive and a naturally safe product for you and your furry friends. Dogs can benefit from the same CBD oil as humans so you do not need to get a special type of CBD oil if you are already using it for yourself.

All vertebrates, mammals (including humans), birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, produce endocannabinoids. These cannabinoid receptors are known as our cannabinoid system. This endocannabinoid system, also called ECS, has now been found to exist in all vertebrates.

Animals, such as dogs were specifically found to share biological homology with humans. Thus, it can be cautiously concluded that CBD interacts in a similar way in canines as it does in humans. Similar to how CBD interacts with receptors in our endocannabinoid system, cannabinoids bind to receptors within the dog’s body, and creates a therapeutic response without causing toxic effects.
This system is the most important system involved in establishing and maintaining health. Endocannabinoids and their receptors are found throughout the body: in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. In each tissue, the cannabinoid system performs different tasks, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis, the maintenance of a stable internal environment despite fluctuations in the external environment. Cannabinoids are the endocannabinoid system messengers. The system’s purpose is to maintain internal balance— to “Relax, Eat, Sleep, Forget and Protect.”

CBD and Animals

There are many reasons why people may choose to use CBD for their pets. Early research and testimonials show that CBD has helped pets in many different ways. There are also a variety of studies showing how pets have had benefits from CBD oil. NONA’s CBD oil has no THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, therefore, our CBD is non-psychoactive and won’t get you or your pets “high”. You can also take CBD in large amounts without any toxic effects.

The New York Times has also published statements like the this one:

“To understand the effect of cannabis on animals, it helps to know a little of the science. The cannabis plant contains dozens of cannabinoids, among them THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). THC has the psychoactive properties that make people feel high but are toxic to animals.
CBD, on the other hand, offers the benefits without the buzz. CBD may help our pets just as much as other studies show it helps people. From pain, anxiety, inflammation, sleep patterns, and more, pet owners noticed a significant difference in their pets when taking hemp products”.

How has CBD helped our compaions?

*Improving general wellness and health
*Improving circulation
*Increasing muscle repair after strenuous exercise
*Increasing cognitive function
*Minimizing aggression disorders and noise phobias
*Reducing inflammation
*Reducing stress and anxiety
*Inhibiting cancer cell growth
*Reducing pain and/or Chronic Pain
*Reducing nausea
*Combating degenerative diseases and aging
*Digestive Issues
*Fatty Tumors
*Stimulating appetite
*Promoting bone growth
*Reducing or helping to control seizures
*Skin Problems

Benefits of CBD in pets

How do they work?
According to the National Cancer Society, cannabinoids “activate specific receptors found throughout the body to produce pharmacologic effects, particularly in the central nervous system and the immune system.” The effects depend on the receptors to which they bind.

Robert J. Silver, DVM and veterinary herbalist of Boulder, Colo., provides another way to look at it. “Receptors are like locks, and cannabinoids are like keys. They fit together perfectly. Once the cannabinoid connects to the receptor and ‘turns that lock,’ a series of actions in the cell membrane occur; these actions are responsible for some of the cannabinoid’s effects.”

Research has revealed two distinct cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2. As in other vertebrates, canine CB1 receptors are primarily found in the brain, but also appear in dogs’ salivary glands and hair follicles, while CB2 receptors are localized in canine skin, immune system, peripheral nervous system and some organs, such as the liver and kidneys.

Cannabinoid CB1 and CB2 Receptor Locations in dogs

Of the currently known cannabinoids, only one—THC—provokes a “mind-bending” response. CBD, on the other hand, has several well-documented biological effects, including antianxiety, anticonvulsive, antinausea, anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties.

Hemp oil benefits for your pets

With CBD Oil, the belief is that if it works for us, it can also work for your companion.. In doing so, they’re not necessarily curing incurable conditions but rather, are helping their animals enjoy daily life and extend their lives. By opting for Hemp CBD Oil, pet owners need not turn to euthanizing their pets to end their pets’ suffering but rather provide a natural supplement to give them quality of life in their final years.

Why Choose Hemp CBD Oil vs Medicine

With today’s world, there are so many aches, pains, sicknesses and harmful medications. If you had the opportunity to allow your body to fight the ailments naturally and were able to provide it a helpful tool… WHY WOULDN’T YOU?

Hemp CBD vs Medications (597x281)

The human body possesses an astonishing and persistent capacity to heal itself. Disease generally occurs when we abuse our bodies or deprive it of the basic requirements needed to keep us healthy. Every second that we’re alive the cells in our bodies are endlessly working to bring us back to a natural state of homeostasis (balance). Cells have the ability to heal themselves, make new cells and replace those that have been permanently damaged or destroyed.

balanced and unblanced scalesWhen we turn to chemically produced substances to heal us, we are, in a sense, only inhibiting our bodies natural ability to heal from within.

Medications have many side effects. Most of which are harmful and damaging to the body!

The only way to get well and stay well, is to STOP ingesting the products that cause disease and START ingesting products that rebuild your immune system. The Immune System is the only system in the body that can get you well and keep you well!

Getting well by natural methods is a healthier way to help your body heal itself. Natural methods do NOT require a doctor or a prescription. It can be done at home by various methods.

Eat Right

 • Eating right: Avoid processed foods. Eat raw fruits and vegetables.
 • Juicing: A faster, more efficient way to absorb immune boosting nutrients naturally found in fruits and vegetables
 • Exercise: At least 30 minutes of movement that raises the heart rate per day.
 • Proper Rest: Sleep is vitally important for rejuvenation.
 • Meditation & Prayer: Help banish those negative thoughts that threaten your peace of mind.

mind body & spiritPharmaceutical Medicines address the symptoms and or the disease which gives you a sense of well being. Whereas the Natural Methods address the root cause of the disease (what caused the imbalance). The symptoms disappear once the root cause of the disease is addressed.

Hemp CBD Oil is advantageous because CBD produces strong medicinal and therapeutic effects for even the most common conditions. CBD is not psychoactive. This means that it does not change the state of mind, however, it does appear to produce positive changes in the body.

Hemp CBD Oil is not only beneficial, it is widely considered the most effective of natural remedies. CBD oil works by inducing Homeostasis.

HEMP OIL VS CBD OIL Whats the difference

There are many similarities between Hemp Seed Oil and CBD OIL, and there are important differences between the two. It’s easy to get confused by all the phrases such as “cannabis oil”, “marijuana oil,” “Hemp Seed Oil”and “cannabidiol oil”, especially when companies use them incorrectly in an interchangeable manner.

Here is a primary term breakdown: cannabis is the plant, hemp is cultivated for a broad range of uses and is low in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the psychotropic cannabinoid in the plant, and marijuana usually refers to the flowering buds and leaves that have higher levels of THC. We are going to look at Hemp Oil and CBD oil and the difference between the two.

Hemp oil is made from the plant called hemp. Hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant typically using a cold-press process. Hemp oil is found everywhere; you can find it on the shelves of your local health food grocery stores. Hemp oil is the common term for hemp seed oil, obtained by pressing hemp seeds that contain low levels of CBD.

CBD oil, is an oil rich in phytocannabinoids that has a high content of cannabidiol (CBD), a natural component of hemp and other cannabis plants. CBD oil is the short form of the term cannabidiol oil. It is made from the flowers, leaves and stalks of hemp and not from its seeds like hemp oil. CBD oil is becoming very popular in the medical marijuana industry, because it can be helpful in the treatment of various conditions without the typical intoxicating effects of using marijuana.

The types of conditions that can be treated with CBD oil are many and varied. For example, the product has been shown to help in the treatment of epilepsy, various inflammatory disorders, depression, cancer, neurological disorders, seizures and much more.

There are so many articles about what CBD can help with. I am not saying this is a cure all or miracle oil, but what I am saying is that it can make a difference in your life when you are dealing with daily struggles of life. Below are some interesting web sites you can visit to read about examples CBD oil can help with (This is only a few… DO YOUR RESEARCH… know the effects, benefits and uses)

<Click Here> projectcbd.org ~ Scientific research has shown CBD may be therapeutic for many conditions. In compiling a list of conditions that CBD may help, we examined hundreds of peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals. Relevant reports have been culled primarily from PubMed, online service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

<Click Here> medicalnewstoday.com ~ Because of the way that CBD acts in the body, it has many potential uses. CBD oil is taken orally, rubbed on the skin, and sometimes inhaled through vapor or used intravenously to produce its effects.

PhytoCannaBinoiD Oil for Pets

PhytoCannaBinoiD Oil for Pets

Here’s a few things pet parents need to know about cannabis oil for our furry friends. Many of us ask the question; ” Is Hemp CBD Oil good for my pet”? Cannabidiol (CBD), one of the active constituents of the Hemp plant, has profound healing and balancing effects on all mammals. Among the many benefits that Hemp Oil would bring, one that is not mentioned as often is the prospect of using Hemp CBD Oil to treat our pets. Many dog owners and veterinarians have already come out vouching for the healing properties of Hemp CBD Oil, a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis.

Pet owners have used it for a broad spectrum of medical and behavioral issues — cancer pain, arthritis, muscle spasms, seizures, neurological and digestive disorders, anxieties, obsessions, past traumas, withdrawal, mood, and memory. It can also be used during recovery from illness or surgery. Hemp CBD Oil can stimulate the appetite and speed healing. At the end of life, it can ease the pain and fear your pet may be experiencing during this time.

As we get to know more about the effects of Hemp CBD Oil for humans, we pet owners find ourselves naturally asking: Could Hemp CBD Oil help our canine and feline companions? Scientifically, dogs (and most mammals) have a similar neuroanatomy to humans. Studies in the last decade have shown that the endocannabinoid system can be found in most mammals. Considering that CBD works directly with this nervous system, we can confidently conclude that CBD will have some sort of influence on our dogs also.

CBD for pets

In general terms, feedback from pet owners show that Hemp CBD Oil can be used to soothe your dogs. Some particular examples are during situations such as separation anxiety, thunderstorm fears, social anxiety, and long-distance traveling. One of the biggest use cases that veterinarians are coming to find are with joint pains that dogs tend to suffer as they get older. Hemp CBD Oil has been found “useful in treating acute ailments like sprains and strains, torn ligaments, broken bones, and even during post-operative care to reduce swelling, pain, and stiffness.” Using Hemp CBD Oil could possibly help your dog to require lower doses of synthetic drugs or stop their use entirely.

< Click Here> Dogsnaturallymagazine.com says: Humans and other mammals have specific cannabinoid receptor sites. These sites are primarily in the brain and central nervous system, and in peripheral organs, especially immune cells. They make up what’s called the endocannabinoid system. Studies show that many cannabinoids have anti-inflammatory effects, and can help with pain, tumors, seizures, muscle spasms, skin conditions, appetite stimulation, aggression, anxiety and neurological disorders.

Since Hemp CBD Oil is now legally sold in all 50 states, you can find many brands selling CBD products meant for pets online. It’s important to note that Hemp CBD Oil is different from Cannabis CBD. Hemp CBD Oil contains no THC and is therefore completely non-psychoactive. Cannabis CBD typically has a mix of CBD and THC, which makes it psychoactive. Cannabis CBD can only be found in licensed dispensaries in states that have legalized marijuana. (Giving your dog THC could potentially have negative side effects, including marijuana poisoning.)

How much CBD Hemp Oil for Dogs

The general advice is that it will take trial and error before you find the appropriate dose that works for you (or your dog). Start at a small dosage and gradually increase depending on the effects (or reactions) you see from your pet. You can give it in their food or with the dropper in the tincture bottle. One thing to remember is that once you give your dog a dose, it may take a couple hours before you notice any effects from your dog. If you believe your dog is not feeling any effects after a few hours, increase the dosage slightly later in the day or wait until the next day to try a slightly higher dose.

<Click Here> Allthebestpetcare.com says: Although hemp and marijuana are both classified as cannabis, they are distinctly different varieties. Recreational marijuana is very high in euphoria-producing THC, while hemp plants contain virtually no THC but have high levels of beneficial CBD. Hemp-derived CBD is not psychoactive and won’t make an animal high. It has no unpleasant side effects, and hemp products containing less than .3% THC are legal for sale in all 50 states. CBD from hemp is not regulated as a drug, has no known toxic level, and it is impossible to overdose.

<Click Here> ministryofhemp.comDog says: Pet owners should always consider where Hemp CBD Oil brands source their oil from. It’s important to ensure the Hemp CBD Oil is sourced from reputable suppliers that conduct third party lab tests. Another important factor is to consult with a qualified veterinarian to discuss the most appropriate course of treatment for their beloved pet.

Tinctures come in a form of a bottle and dropper to administer the oil to your pets. While not as potent as extracts, it does well for those who are looking to relieve more mild symptoms like muscle pains, nausea, stress or anxiety. It’s a great entry point for pet owners who are still wary of hemp-based treatments. Tinctures are administered orally, and a dose consists of oil being placed under the tongue. This delivery method helps the compound be absorbed more efficiently into the bloodstream, allowing for better dosage control and immediate relief. It provides moderate or low CBD potency with a variety of flavors. Hemp CBD Oil tinctures are a great option for pet parents who want to integrate Hemp CBD Oil as a daily dietary supplement for their pup. Hemp CBD Oil tinctures have been shown to alleviate symptoms such as nausea, body aches, seizures, anxiety, and loss of appetite for dogs facing the pains of old age.

As you have read, Hemp CBD Oi is safe for your furry friends and has many benefits for both young and old. It can be given for overall general health (as a supplement) or for other medical issues more severe. Hemp CBD Oil is a nature’s gift, not just for humans, but also our pets also. With Hemp CBD Oil, pet owners can treat their furry friends medical conditions without toxicity. Although Hemp CBD Oil is not a cure-all medication, it can ease your pet’s discomfort, relieve debilitating pain and extend their lives. By opting for Hemp CBD Oil, pet owners need not turn to euthanizing their pets to end their pets’ suffering.
